My New Winter Boots

With the cold winter months soon approaching Toronto, it was time to buy my first winter boots for the season. I got them from Little Burgundy on Queen Street West.

A Poem for a Blue Monday

As the mist leaves no scar
On the dark green hill
So my body leaves no scar
On you, nor ever will.

When wind and hawk encounter,
What remains to keep?
So you and I encounter,
Then turn, then fall to sleep.

As many nights endure
Without a moon or star,
So will we endure
When one is gone and far.

Past Days of Splendour

Yesterday at work a lady brought in the most lovely magazines to donate to our library. Most of them were from the 1930's- they were full of beautiful pictures of movie stars, excellent advertisements, top-notch beauty secrets and wonderful articles from another time!

5 Things I Love About You

Today I felt like writing about 5 things I love about my sweet sweet sister Emmily....

She makes everything seem beautiful...

She'll go for longs walks with me when the sun is rising, even if she's tired...

She has wonderful hair...

She let's me dress her up and take photo's whenever I want...
She's one of the funniest people I know!

Birthday for Bryan

Last Saturday was Bryan's Birthday- we celebrated he's 22nd year of life by having a small gathering at Sinead's house and then heading out to a place somewhere on King Street that I can not remember the name of, to watch Liam & Sinead's housemate Beth perform with her band. It was a wonderful evening!

Liam & Phillip were there

Nuit Blanche

On October 2nd it was the fifth edition of Nuit Blanche in Toronto- having only found out about this amazing event by chance the day before, I wasn't really sure what to expect. We ended up along the Queen Street Strip, stumbling across a few cool little art shows and indulging in some kareoke, and before I knew it the clock had struck 5am and I was in much need of some sweet dreams.

An Introduction to Toronto

Since we last spoke a lot has happened. I am now living in Toronto, which is proving to be a wonderful town. Me and Bryan are living in a basement apartment downtown, its so outdated- with its tacky wood panelling, VCR player and couch that looks like it came straight from my grandmother's house in the 80's. Oh and did I mention I love it? It's perfect!
