A Postcard From London

Hello my lovely friends! I can not talk long as I places to go and people to meet in this lovely city of London.

I am having such a wonderful time- dancing until my feet are sore, drinking and eating in abundance and walking around in a twilight splendour.

We returned from Paris a few days ago, it was everything I always dreamed it would be and more! The spiralling streets, the beautiful people and the street screaming with history.

We meet some amazing people at Le Tape Bar in Bastille who we spent the night drinking Mojitos with and talking about the wonders of Paris. One of them decided I looked like a David Lynch character and took my picture for his Tumblr, you can check it out at www.unknownproject.tumblr.com.

Must run, Au Revoir xo

Pastel Mess

Stop me if you've heard this one before- A girl walks into a hair salon, deciding that since she is headed to Europe for the first time ever in her life she is in dire need of a little make over, in which she will be returning her currently blonde locks into some shiny strawberry blonde ones.

Four hours later and with her purse considerably a little lighter, she leaves the salon (supposedly one of the better salons in NZ) looking like an Oompa-Loompa's cousin with bright pastel orange hair. Deciding to head to a bar for a drink to drown out her sorrows, the girl is greeted by the waitress who feeling the need to say something, manages in a feeble voice "Oh I love your hair... it's different".

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives...

They Did The Monster Mash

Happy Halloween Folks! I hope everybody is spending the day doing something perfectly spook-tastic! (terrible play on words I know). I luckily got a jump start on my Halloween celebrations two days ago when I strolled on down to the Golden Dawn for a night of wicked dancing, ghoulish and all around eerie delights!

Let's take a look at how the night panned out...

Vanity Fair

Now that the rainy mid week is upon us, lets take a look at a finer time - Last Saturday night, which was spent at the newly discovered Golden Dawn in Ponsonby.

From the flowing Pale Ale to the swinging music that filled the air, it was a good night to be out and about town, meeting a lot of nice folks along the way. Lets take a look...

This is how Myself & Em looked.

When we headed out in search of the Golden Dawn.

Where we watched some very good authentic live kiwi music.

Said hello to our new friend Matthieu.

The DJ's were doing a show all the way from Berlin via Skype... technology these days.

And then spent the rest of the evening dancing & mingling. Fun times indeed!

Panic On The Streets Of London

A few months ago my dear sister Emmily surprised me with perhaps one of the nicest presents I have ever received- A return ticket to London this November! Which although I have been quietly anticipating this trip ever since, it has just felt so far away for so long that part of me thought November would never come. But now with the beginning of October, also brings only 5 short weeks until I shall be jet setting my way to the swinging city of London for the first time ever! Plus a four day trip to the dreamy city of Old Paree...

To say I'm excited would be the understatement of the century, perhaps the more suitable phrase would be 'over the moon' ecstatic! Soon I shall be strolling along the Seine River with the two of the finest people I know, shopping in the hip Camden Town, drinking wine in the many cafes of Montmarte and dancing until my feet hurt in the night spots of London. Ahhh blissful times ahead indeed...

Beehives & A Golden Dawn

This is how I looked on Saturday night when Emmily and myself headed out in search of an elusive green door on Ponsonby Road that would lead us to a trendy little bar that I had come across in an interview I read earlier in the week- The Golden Dawn.

It actually turned out to be a terribly wonderful evening filled with dancing, meeting some lovely folks and even a few magic tricks. Unfortunately I left my poor camera at home and so you'll just have to imagine how the night looked.

The Mint Green Dress

Hello Hello! Maybe it is just because I slept way too long last night or that I know something exciting is coming up, but I'm feeling refreshed and filled with the hope that some creative inspiration is on the horizon, after weeks of feeling somewhat blah.

Or then again maybe it is because I found one of the nicest dresses I have seen in a long time today! It is a little bit green, a little bit 1950's, a little bit lace, a little more then I wanted to spend and a little bit perfect! Isn't she lovely?

Oh and on a side note, I am very much aware that I have mispelled "clothes" on my label for "Cloths and Beauty Stuff"- what can I say, I must have been having an off day. But thanks for the many people who felt the need to let me know anyway. I have decided that what Disappear Here needs is a much needed make over, which will be happening soon so watch this space!

Rama Lama Ding Dong!

Hello, hello! Long time no see my dear friends! I would like to say I've been extremely busy doing other more exciting things, but now that would be a lie. I guess I've just been lacking in the creative motivational department at the moment, I haven't even been day dreaming as much as I usually do. Alas, hopefully this will fade with the ending of winter...

Anyway enough about that. Here are some photographs from my recent trip to the wonderful city of Melbourne, that was perhaps a little too short, but still lovely! Would love to hear what you think?
